General Terms and Conditions

Our thoughtfully outlined guidelines ensure a harmonious and enjoyable stay for all guests, promoting safety, respect, and an enriching atmosphere throughout your visit.

Arrival/check-in

We look forward to welcoming you to Clayton Bay Riverside Holiday Park.

Sites Check-in: 12.00pm
Cabins/on-site vans Check-in: 2:00pm

Late check-ins up until 8.00pm are welcome, however this needs to be pre-arranged during business hours.

Departure/check-out

Sites Check-out: 12.00pm
Cabins/on-site vans Check-out: 10.30am

Late check-out may be arranged subject to availability. Additional fees apply.

Reception hours

9.00am – 5.30pm.
As a as a small family owned and operated business, there may be times when the office is unattended whilst our staff attend to other duties around the park.
If you require service at the office during these times, please phone our business number and our staff will kindly come to the office to serve you.

Noise and Music

The peaceful enjoyment of our park and facilities by all patrons is important to us.
Noise restrictions apply after 10pm and before 8am.
During this time, please respect other patrons by restricting noise to a level which is not heard by neighbouring sites.
Strictly no music after 10pm. At all times, please ensure music is set at a low volume which can be heard from your site only.
Excessive noise at any time will not be tolerated.
If you are concerned by unnecessary noise, please report to management using the internal emergency phone number.

Ball games

All sports/ball games are to be contained to open grassy areas only. Please be mindful of surrounding patrons and their property.

Bicycles /Scooters

Bikes and scooters are permitted in the park, ridden in daylight hours only. Please ensure your own and your children’s safety by ensuring helmets are worn at all times. Bikes/scooters are permitted on roads only; they are not permitted on walking paths, as a thoroughfare through sites or surrounding the amenities block. Please observe the park’s road rules which include a walking pace speed limit.

Children

We are a family friendly park and encourage children to visit, explore and play. The supervision of your children is important for their safety, particularly in or near the water. All children under the age of 10 must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian when visiting the park’s amenities.

It is your responsibility to ensure the personal safety, welfare and protection of minors in your family/group at all times during your stay in the park.

Camp Kitchen

Please respect this lovely space by leaving the kitchen clean and tidy after use. The camp kitchen is for the enjoyment of all guests, not one exclusive group. Please be mindful of other guests when using this facility.

Noise restrictions apply in the park from 10pm – 8am.
Please observe these rules within the camp kitchen.
Quiet TV or games are permitted until 11pm.

Dogs

We are a dog friendly park, as long as your dog is friendly. The following strict conditions apply:

Dogs may only be permitted in the park with prior approval from management.
Owners must accept full responsibility for the behaviour of their dog.
Owners must be respectful of surrounding site holders and ensure their dog does not disturb other patrons.
Dogs must be kept on a leash and under full control at ALL times.
Owners must clean up after their dog’s droppings promptly by placing in a sealed plastic bag and dispose in the bins provided.
Barking must be kept to an absolute minimum. Baking dogs and their owners WILL be asked to leave the park.
No dogs must enter the park amenities or camp kitchen.

Fires

Campsite fires are permitted within the dates of the Murraylands fire season.

The following conditions must be observed:

Fires must be contained in a fire pit which contains all coals, with the lowest point raised 30cm from the ground. Firepits are available for hire.
Fires must always be well controlled and supervised by a responsible adult.
Please position your fire pit in a spacious area on your site, a safe distance from all objects such as tents, caravans, and overhanging branches.
Kindling may be collected from the bushland within the park. Patrons may BYO larger wood. Wood may be available to buy, depending on availability. Please enquire with management.
Please leave ashes inside fire pit. If your fire pit requires emptying during your stay, please enquire with management.
Please be thoughtful of the impact of your fire’s smoke on surrounding patrons. Please burn dry wood only, which is much less smoky.

Rubbish

Please place all rubbish/recyclables in the appropriate bin.

We have two types of bins in the park:

Red lidded bins – General waste. Please ensure all food scraps and mucky rubbish is placed in a sealed bag prior to placing in the bin.
Yellow lidded bins – Dry recyclables. Please ensure recyclables are clean and all cardboard boxes are broken down/flattened.
Plastic crates – Refundable bottles and cans

Please be respectful and do not place large individual rubbish items or hard rubbish in the park bins please dispose of these items elsewhere.; i.e. broken chairs/tents, large packaging etc. Please take this rubbish home with you.

Smoking

Strictly no smoking inside park amenities, cabins and on-site vans. Please dispose of all cigarette butts in the rubbish bins provided.

Cars and other vehicles parking

To avoid congestion, we allow only one car per site.
Additional cars, as well as boats and trailers can be parked in overflow parking.
All visitors are required to park outside the park grounds.
Boat and trailer parking
To avoid congestion on sites, please park boats and trailers in the designated parking area which is located just inside the exit of the park. Please enquire with management.

Speed Limit

Our park is family-friendly and children are often at play. The roads within the park are shared by walkers, bike riders and cars. For the safety of all patrons the speed limit is 5km/hr or STRICTLY WALKING PACE. Speed limits are enforced!

Bookings

A deposit is required to secure each reservation. For all bookings, a deposit equal to the first night’s accommodation/site rate must be paid at the time of making the reservation. Reservations will not be guaranteed without a deposit. We accept Visa and MasterCard for online and phone bookings.

Cancellation policy

Peak and High peak season: Cancellations made within 14 days from day of arrival will forfeit all monies paid and will not be entitled to a refund or credit.

If greater than 14 days’ notice is provided, a refund of all monies paid, less a $20 administration fee (per site cancelled) will be provided. Alternatively, a credit of the entire deposit amount can be held in credit for a future stay. Credit has a 12 month expiry.

Mid and low season: Cancellations made within 7 days from day of arrival will forfeit all monies paid and will not be entitled to a refund or credit.

If greater than 7 days’ notice is provided, a refund of all monies paid, less a $20 administration fee (per site cancelled) will be provided. Alternatively, a credit of the entire deposit amount can be held in credit for a future stay. Credit has a 12 month expiry.

Minimum stay lengths:

Long weekends: 3-night minimum stay
Easter weekend: 4-night minimum stay
Christmas/new year school holiday period: 2-night minimum stay

Reduction of length of stay for existing bookings

If the length of stay of an existing booking is reduced and less than 14 days’ notice is provided (high peak or peak season) or 7 days’ notice provided (mid or low season), full payment of the original length of stay is required.

Behaviour

We are a family-friendly park. Any unruly behaviour, excessive noise, drunkenness, bad and/or offensive language will not be tolerated and may result in you and your party being evicted from the park. You are responsible for the people on your site and/or staying at your cabin.

Visitors

Day visitors are welcome in the park. Patrons are required to inform park management of all visitors. A small fee is required if visitors wish to use the park amenities and foreshore. Visitors’ cars need to be parked outside of the park grounds.

Compliance of these rules is a condition of staying at Clayton Bay Riverside Holiday Park.
